I've been watching The Mentalist and I love the show... except for anything that is even remotely related to Red John. It feels like I'm "doing it wrong" because he is the the reason Patrick Jane joined the team and also the "main antagonist" of the show, but I just can't be bothered to watch the episodes that deal with him.

Honestly you're doing it better, you won't be so disappointed to how the whole Red John affair turns out.
