Tired. I'm writing a pairing that isn't an obvious pairing, and struggling not to fall into the tired old tropes like sex pollen and they get drunk. My brain is not up to it.

Allergies are bad. There is some sort of dust plume in the air currently. It has been bad enough to be in the local news. My dust allergy is bad enough to react more strongly than the straight histamine reaction. So I've been pretty miserable all day.

My mom has also been pretty sick for other reasons. So we decided to put off our special 4th food until tomorrow and just do sandwiches for dinner.

Think I'm going to take a nap now since I'm sure the fireworks will be going until like 3 AM and keep me awake tonight.

I heard fireworks at like 11 this morning, and then again just a couple minutes ago, but other than that it's been quiet, which is kind of weird because I expected them to be going on basically all day since that's what usually happens.

I haven't eaten yet and am starting to get hungry but I'm not sure what I want to make for dinner.

I'm starting to hate this word for how damn arbitrary and subjective it is. Sometimes things labeled "omg cringe" seem no big deal and it speaks more to the person commenting and some weird bias they have.

...where the number of messages in the inbox seems arbitrarily broken? Comments seem to show up fine and increase the number, but PMs don't ping as an unread message/notification anymore. For instance, I can have 814 messages, recieve three PMs, and it will still say I have 814 messages. Marking two as read by replying to them cuts me down to 812, but sending a reply (with CC to myself as ticked) somehow cuts it to 808.

The fact I have 800~ messages to begin with may be part of the problem; but it would still make me feel better if I wasn't the only one I've seen/know of with this glitch.
