Watching Blue Planet has ruined pretty much all fandom merchandise for me. All I can see now is that partly degraded plastic faces as they bob in the ocean, shedding micro-plastic particles into the environment for hundreds of years. It's a real bummer.

The books started off as garbage, but like, fun, tasty garbage - McDonalds, say. Then they became untasty garbage - old McDonalds in a dumpster. Then they became wildly unfun untasty garbage - the dumpster is on fire.
So you can understand why people would be nostalgic for the halcyon days of tasty garbage.

Unless PTerry has been in contact from beyond the grave with new information, I believe the correct pronouns for Cheery/Cherry are 'she' and 'her'. It's the whole point of her character that she wants to embrace her gender as a female while retaining her cultural norms (her beard).

The adaptation of 'The Watch' doesn't even deserve the descriptor 'adaptation'. It's the BBC taking a loose concept of a beloved series and shitting all over it.
