Finding something bad (and I'm talking like, Kevin Spacey, Jeffrey Epstein level bad) about a creator or someone in something I like doesn't ruin that thing for me.

I think that they should be arrested (if it's an arrest level offense), blackballed from whatever they do, and everyone should know they're a total ball of scum, but I'm still going to enjoy my movies and books that I enjoyed before regardless.

Just curious, but what about finding out they did something terrible specifically in service of that movie - like Kubrick with Shelley Duvall on The Shining or Landis on Twilight Zone: The Movie? Does it sour you on that movie or can you keep it separate?

I can keep it separate. It definitely makes me not want to seek out something by that person I may not have seen or read, but if I've already enjoyed something, it doesn't ruin that enjoyment.
