Yeah, I hated the whole Usagi/Seiya thing in the anime too. IIRC, in tbe manga Seiya was trying to get Usagi to remember what had happened to Mamoru, not be his replacement. Makes me kind wish that this season would get a Crystal adaptation.

I would be shocked if he didn't know. I feel like he'd very informed on all things subculture and fandom, but kind of obfuscates that he doesn't so his 'reactions' seem more genuine? idk. He's a complete fake all round if you ask me.

I watch most stuff like this too, usually one third of the screen for the video and two thirds for whatever else I'm doing. I mostly listen to the videos while my eyes are focused on the other stuff, so I don't really mind that much the image size. I just keep it there (instead of running in the background) in case there is a moment of silence that clearly indicates something visual is happening and I can just turn and look.
