I stayed up late last night to finish the head of the monster I am crocheting. I am pretty dang proud of it. It is about 7 inches across. https://i.imgur.com/5HTaohx.jpg

This is the inside where I cut up a dryer vent to protect the "mouth" from collapsing when stuffed or squeezed. https://i.imgur.com/hB9bdYo.jpg

The glue I used seems to be holding the teeth in really well.

I made a bullet journal spread for the rest of my summer vacation. It's really pretty by my standards, but also functional and fairly simple.

That is both creepy and awesome!

I haven't been up to anything creative lately, unless you count creative ways of organizing the kitchen. I have a stack of cookie tins that I can never throw out, but don't have a use for. I was going to buy plastic bins to organize my kitchen cabinets, but decided to use the cookie tins instead. It does the job and I like the designs on the tins.

I'm making a quilt from pieces that were cut out 25 years ago.

The quilt's not done yet, but when I started putting it together I decided to finally make the "row markers" that I bought beads for a year ago.

also, Lloyd Alexander's books except I liked the Westmark series that no one remembers instead of the Prydain series everyone knows. And John Bellairs' books that no one remembers at all.

Was really into Jacqueline Wilson books as a kid - Starting with the The Monster Story-Teller and Lizzie Zipmouth.

Also; The Illustrated Mum, Double Act, The Worry Website, The Bed and Breakfast Star, Bad Girls and The Story of Tracy Beaker.

The books I read as a kid were the Hobbit, Heinlein juvenile books, the Anne of Green Gables series, the Star Wars EU, the Baby-Sitters Club, the Sweet Valley books, and a few Star Trek books. It was hard to get English books in the Philippines. The Star Wars and Star Trek ones were my favorites, but I read everything I could get my hands on.

All the Laura Ingalls Wilder books. Also, the Bunnicula/Howliday Inn series. The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks series was fun as well. I also loved all the Ramona Quimby books. I owned all the Animorphs as well. I read way more as a kid then I do now. :/

The Babysitters Club (anybody watching the Netflix show?), Sweet Valley High, the American Girl books, the Dear America books, and pretty much anything by Lois Lowry (Number the Stars and Gathering Blue were my favorites back then).
