OMG THERE'S A FIC FOR MY RAREPAIR OTP. I've been periodically checking the AO3 tag for this fandom for 2+ years hoping one would appear someday and I was starting to think it would never happen. It's super short and I'm almost afraid to read it but I'm hoping it's good and I can leave a glowing review and try to encourage the author to write more for the ship. Just OMG.

Anyone else want to talk about anything they're stupidly excited about?

Yes, I found a writer who writes my OTP and has the same unusual niche kink I have, and they've written a couple of excellent fics featuring both, and will be writing more!

Not recently (I wrote short stories in college that generally got good feedback, but that was a long time ago), and never fic. I will say, though, that this ship/fandom and my other current favorite (also small/obscure) are the two fandoms/ships that have made me contemplate it. I still might give it a try at some point but right now I have zero plot ideas beyond "I want these two together" (and in both canons, there are some giant obstacles in the way of that happening that I can't currently figure out a way around). I swear quarantine has affected my mind; I feel like I used to have more of an imagination but now every time I think of writing anything, I just come up blank. It's really frustrating.

Bah, i know what you mean.

I want to do Yuletide *so much*, because a couple of writers there have consistently written in the teeny little fandom I love and crave. But I just have no clue what fandom I could *offer* to write in, and no confidence that I could actually come up with something in time.

So frustrating!
