I'm in such a bad mental place right now that even rewatching my favorite fandoms is not bringing me the enjoyment it usually does. I'm only doing it now just for escape, not for any actual pleasure.

I'm super thirsty for Mad Scientist/Mad Scientist's Assistant related smut. Dr.Frankenstein/Igor-y kind of material. So much so I might be forced to write my own sleazy adaption to get what I want.

Star Trek is not my favorite media to watch, though I do enjoy it. The Star Trek universe is the one I think it would be the best to live in, though. Even the worst-off people in that universe don't have it that bad. And even though Picard is trying to do a darker take, it still manages to look like a better universe than most if not all others.

I think I gravitate towards warrior characters and action media so much because I'm so much the opposite. I'm completely unfit with so many health issues that I can never hope to come close to doing any of those things. So it is fun to fantasize about being so opposite to myself.

I think I just flat-out can't get into Netflix originals anymore, no matter how up-my-alley they are. Something about the house style just seems wan and flat.

I don’t get people who capitalize every syllable of a Chinese name. Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi look wrong and terrible, what’s wrong with typing Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji? The fact that this tends to be done only to people names bothers me too. If you’re going to subject my eyes to the plain wrongness of Wei WuXian etc then why not go all the way and write YunMeng Jiang Sect, LanLing Jin Sect etc? Is consistency really too much to ask?

What gets my goat more than capitalizing issues is people using Quin as a surname in their fics. Quin is NOT a Chinese surname! Stop using it for your Chinese OCs, people!! Seeing Quin makes me want to cough blood!!!

I wish more people would get that just because you criticize a piece of media (criticize, not outright mocking without really analyzing it) doesn't mean you don't like the media. It just means there's something in there you think could have been improved.

Also, just because you like something doesn't mean it doesn't have flaws. It's one thing to connect events in a story, and another to blindly accept whatever writers throw at you, to the point you reject anything that questions the writing.

I was more impressed with Andromeda's logo than the actual TV series. This seems to be a recurring thing with me in regards to Sci-Fi where I'm more enamored with the graphic design choices implemented for marketing than the productions they're used for.

I don't actually like WayHaught. Like, yes, I'm super happy that queer fans have a ship that they love and that has been promised not to Bury Your Gays, and I genuinely appreciate how respectful the actresses are in portraying the relationship, but I just don't ship it.

I like all the Elder Scrolls ones (but especially Skyrim), some of the Warcraft ones, Warhammer 40K Chaos Gate, Civilization IV and VI, God of War, Journey, Uncharted, Doom.

There are probably more that I'm not thinking of. Honestly, video game music is often just as good in quality as any other type of soundtrack. There are some amazing ones out there.

Bloodborne's soundtrack is amazing!

Outcast. Old game, but one of the first ever to use a full orchestral score and damn it shows. The music was lovingly tailor-made to fit the game, and it's criminal it's not more appreciated in gaming history.

I've had a bottle of Thanksgiving Dinner Jones Soda. It's about as awful as one might expect.
