My most popular fic by FAR was written as a side story to a VERY popular fic by a BNF in my fandom. I considered us pretty close internet friends, we talked to each other on tumblr and discord, she even asked me to help her make a fan zine.

Since then, she's slowly started doing things that make me more and more uncomfortable. First she made a sequel to the fic that contradicted one of the few things that I added for my side story. Obviously she can do what she wants with her fic, but I started getting some pretty insulting/mean comments on my side story because of the contradiction. When I brought it up to her and asked if she could make an author's note or tumblr post clarifying, she brushed me off.

The last straw was when she made a Patreon for her fic, making it so that patrons get her first drafts, deleted scenes, and early updates, and then tried to get me to become one of her patrons. I told her the truth, that I'm having financial problems because of COVID, and her response was to beg me to do the $5 tier level at least. I'm not in the position to add another thing to pay every month (my current income is super sparotic in addition to just being less than usual), and even if I was I wouldn't use the money on a freaking fanfic Patreon.

It's gotten to the point where I feel annoyed and anxious just seeing the fic on my page, but idk how to delete or orphan it without her noticing.
