Also Ezri getting together with Bashir felt like it shit on the Bashir and Jadzia friendship -- and if it was meant to suggest that she was into Bashir all along, then that takes a dump on Jadzia and Worf. DNW.)
BAH.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-09 12:47 am (UTC)(link)Like, I really liked Ezri's character but I hated what they did to her for the sake of a relationship with Bashir.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-09 12:56 am (UTC)(link)Wait, I'm not sure I understand this objection - Jadzia and Bashir never had a romantic relationship, so why would it be an obstacle for Ezri and Bashir to have one?
(Caveat, I haven't watched s7 of DS9 in years)

It just feeds that idea (it's echoed in Bashir/Ezri too) that if you adore someone long enough, sooner or later they'll love you back (in a sexual/romantic way). While unrequited does at times become requited, believing that it's 100% guaranteed to happen is, I feel, part of what leads to InCel thinking.
