I’m new to Kuroshitsuji, but I’ve read as far as has been linked to on onemanga.com, and while there’s no escaping the shota undertones, I don’t have any problem not viewing it that way and still enjoying the manga. It’s not like the story is anything more than entertainment and ridiculous scenarios (don’t get me wrong, that’s exactly what I love about it, alongside what an interesting “hero” Sebastian makes). But shota squicks me too, and I guess that’s why I’ve read it in secret, with a couple friends from school, rather than seeking out any online fan communities.
