Because I've always felt a strong personal connection to him. He's like a caricature of my personality and issues, a metaphor for the struggles I've gone through in life, and at times, uncannily similar to me. I mean, seriously. I come across as dorky/overly coldly logical/morbid to everyone in the outside world, but the few people who are close to me know that I'm actually kind of a wreck. And I'm all obsessed with learning as much as I can about things, but I know so little about myself and my own feelings that it's actually kind of ridiculous. And I had... Kind of a weird lonely childhood that involved getting the short end of the stick because I kind of make people uncomfortable.

Also, watching him kind of really helped me with stuff. I think this is the first time in my life that I've been able to accept the fact that I'm not normal... But hey, that doesn't keep me from being happy, or having a fulfilling life. It just means I need to move and my own pace and accept that I kind of weird people out sometimes. And I need to learn to be more aware of myself and my feelings and comfort levels so I don't destabilize again. Overall, I've been a lot happier, and... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE, MR. STITCHES?! D:

tl;dr, there's nothing wrong with you! I think you're probably an interesting person, and we might have a lot in common.

I kinda feel the same way, but if I mentioned I liked a show and someone said that they hated it for no apparent reason, I would feel like I was being attacked. If they said, "Oh, I've heard of that, but it's not really my thing." or, "Yuck, I tried, but I just can't get into that!" it would be different.

I'm not in the fandom, but to be honest, I tend to agree with Row 2, Column B. ("You're just being oversenstive.") Seriously, I've never heard so many people bash a series on more judgemental principals. Most of the time it's just a knee-jerk reaction to the bishonen factor, which, honestly, *is* just being oversenstive. It's your choice whether or not to like it, but bashing it to its fans because of the pretty guys and the humor is just immature.
