Um...you have the longest comment so I'll reply to you. The secret is not directed at people who hate or dislike Hetalia. It's directed at people who accuse the fans of only liking it because of the pretty boys. As in "THIS SERIES IS JUST FANSERVICE, PEOPLE ARE SO SHALLOW".

If you gave it a try and the tone of the series or portrayals of the characters isn't your thing, that's cool. I'm happy you gave it a chance and tried to look beneath the gender-imbalanced surface. That was the whole point of my series.

The "political correctness" was actually specifically referring to the "Why aren't more countries women? They're MOTHERLANDS" or "HOW DARE THEY MAKE COUNTRIES INTO HOT GUYS?? HOW TRIVIAL" comments I see floating here and there. Essentially, the comments saying that Hetalia's sole existence is non-PC.

So, I respect your opinion, and I hope you don't misinterpret this secret as generic hatred towards anyone who doesn't agree with me. Happy holidays!

Your reply is very sweet. I'm sorry I misinterpreted your secret. I guess I'm just a little frustrated with all the Hetalia hate/anti-hate/NO U secrets as well, haha. And happy holidays to you as well (or merry giftmas, if you prefer, to bring up some more wank).

Yeah, I think by now a lot of people are. It'd be nice if we could call a truce and agree to disagree, but I highly doubt that will ever happen here.

OP again. I'm glad we understand each other! I wish F!S could just mediate a diplomatic resolution to the Hetalia fandom v. haters. But alas, there would be no F!S if there wasn't any wank in the world ^^;
