(Anonymous) 2020-10-17 01:43 am (UTC)(link)It's embarrassing that people are causing drama about a pairing that hasn't even been confirmed yet.
It looks ridiculous.
Can people not wait a little longer to start the shipping crusade? It feels like the moment the announcement art was released, a certain group of fans decided that it was time to create outrage.
How about this? We all wait for the show to drop and then if it's confirmed, we can make personal decisions about what we can and cannot put up with when we have context to base our choices on.
Some of us will stay and deal with the kid-show, some of us will hopefully make the mature decision to drop what is essentially a spinoff that's being written by other people, and not be mad about it.
The truly beautiful thing is that we still have the original. We can go and enjoy all the manga, anime episodes, OAV's and movies.
It's still there. I can't even guess how many hours of entertainment it is. It's a lot. We can still enjoy Inuyasha as it was ment to be enjoyed. And the spinoff will remain a spinoff. The Boruto of Inuyasha.

(Anonymous) 2020-10-17 02:00 am (UTC)(link)Lol @ Boruto. I do hope we see some of the old characters. And meet with Koga and Ayame's kids.

(Anonymous) 2020-10-17 03:23 am (UTC)(link)I don't hate the pairing to the degree that some people do. I'm not enthused about it potentially becoming canon though.
But if it happens, I'll decide then and there about if I'm willing to cross that bridge.
Honestly, i always hoped that she and Kohaku would eventually get together. Especially since he was the only other human that Sess seemed to be able to stand. He trusted Kohaku to protect Rin a great deal in Final Act.

(Anonymous) 2020-10-17 03:55 am (UTC)(link)Kohaku is the only other human in good standing with him.
I loved him in the Sess squad. I was disappointed when he parted ways with them before the big battle, i felt like he fitted in with them better. There was some respect between him and Sesshomaru and i would have liked to see it continue.

(Anonymous) 2020-10-17 04:02 am (UTC)(link)Agree about Rin/Kohaku.i feel like that was at least...given the possibility of a ship at some points throughout the show? Not overt, but...suggestions.

(Anonymous) 2020-10-17 04:56 am (UTC)(link)I have a sad feeling that the team up only happened because they needed to put Kohaku somewhere. It just so happened to be a good match when they started writing it. But since it wasn't planned and they intended for Kohaku to be back with his sister for the last battle, the teamup was dropped.
