Lmao come the fuck on, it's not grooming and it doesn't check any of those boxes. Sesshoumaru is not a father figure. Original series ends with him leaving Rin in a village so she can grow up with other humans.

The series also ends with an implication that he visited her on a regular basis, bringing her gifts. He didn't just drop her off and end all contact with her until she came of age, he was actively a caretaking figure in her life throughout her childhood.

I remember this was a fairly popular ship back in the day (with an aged up Rin, of course), but I can't remember if people were calling it problematic then or not. I came to a conclusion after the previous Sess/Rin shitstorm.
There will never be a non-problematic partner for this guy.

It's embarrassing that people are causing drama about a pairing that hasn't even been confirmed yet.
It looks ridiculous.
Can people not wait a little longer to start the shipping crusade? It feels like the moment the announcement art was released, a certain group of fans decided that it was time to create outrage.

How about this? We all wait for the show to drop and then if it's confirmed, we can make personal decisions about what we can and cannot put up with when we have context to base our choices on.
Some of us will stay and deal with the kid-show, some of us will hopefully make the mature decision to drop what is essentially a spinoff that's being written by other people, and not be mad about it.

The truly beautiful thing is that we still have the original. We can go and enjoy all the manga, anime episodes, OAV's and movies.

It's still there. I can't even guess how many hours of entertainment it is. It's a lot. We can still enjoy Inuyasha as it was ment to be enjoyed. And the spinoff will remain a spinoff. The Boruto of Inuyasha.
