Prepared most of the day for the speech I just gave about an hour ago at my zoom Toastmaster's club meeting. It went okay, got a lot of compliments, so pretty happy.

Still have the same tension headache I had last night, though not as bad. It is also 44 degrees outside. And didn't sleep a whole lot last night. Not sure what I'm doing for dinner, honestly. Not particularly hungry, but need to eat to take meds.

Edit: decided on popcorn and watching episodes of Dr. Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet.

Well, power went out at work cuz of ice storm. Got home and there are about 12 huge limbs in my yard from the neighbors tree. It took out my power connection.

Which isn't too big of a deal because power is out in my whole town. They are saying this is the worst ice storm since 2007.

About to take a shower then sleep. No power so it is going to be freezing tonight.

It's my birthday today, so I've been enjoying the presents friends/family have sent me and watching Over the Garden Wall.

Fielded extremely stressful phone calls about a government grant. Worked on the government grant. Worked on my statement of purpose for the extremely stressful task of applying to grad school.

Read about Arielle Scarcella supporting Trump. Background: Arielle is a lesbian YouTuber with some moderate views who experienced some bullying and backclash. In the last couple of months she turned more and more conservative and now she made a video about how she supports Trump and ACB. I think this is proof that cancelling doesn't work. It just makes you double down and run into the open arms of your new friends.

There's a rash of students wearing hentai-print hoodies at the school where I teach. It's quite odd. The secret is that I only ever dress-code the dudes wearing it, never the females. They just skeev me out more.

My partner LOVES Friends and generally I just ignore it because I don't care for it much. Well the other night, an episode highlighting fat-Monica happened and I found it so triggering that I ended up crying in the kitchen secretly. I didn't tell my partner because it's just fiction but I literally felt sick to my stomach. I used to be really overweight and am still quite sensitive about my weight. I'd never tell my partner that they couldn't watch a show because of me but I think from now on, I'll just go upstairs when they watch Friends.

I'm writing a crossover that hasn't been done before as far as I know. It's so freeing. Not worrying about what's fresh or what's been done to death.

But at the same time I'm shocked nobody's thought of it before. It seemed so obvious to me for some reason. Still I'm grateful for the novelty of it because it allows me to start fresh and possibly even start trends (ha as if)
