128. Oh guys. D: IL Stein a ridiculous amount but there are other characters in SE. What about Crona? Like Stein she's insane and probably doomed (with a brief stint of happiness and acceptance for added pathos).

I normally wouldn't comment on a secret like this because it's up to the OP what they watch the show for, but Stein seems to be almost the only SE character who ever gets represented on FS (apart from this post's Albarncest secret) and it makes me sad for the other guys.

125. It's understandable that he may not be the type of character everyone likes, but we DO realize that he's an ass. That's precisely WHY we love him.
136. ...wait. The writers didn't say that's what women SHOULD do. They just meant that most women ARE insecure with their bodies. Carla was exaggerating for dramatic effect anyway, and at the end of the episode they applaud her for embracing her body and feeling beautiful again. Way to miss the point.

136./ And why are most women insecure with their bodies? Oh, right, they are constantly bombarded with ads about how they need to do this, that, and the other to be attractive. Shows on the telly feed them images of how most women are so insecure that they can't stand to look at themselves naked even when they are extremely physically attractive. Society has created a constant assault against women's self-esteem and guess what? It's working. It's made women so ashamed of their bodies and so critical of other women that a line about how most women can't even stand to look at themselves naked for ten SECONDS is funny.

Honestly, if you don't get why this is offensive and not funny, then you need to learn a bit more about the inherent sexism that is still ingrained in modern society.

125 - Bastards can actually be really fun and interesting characters to some people. You can like a characters for things other than how honourable of how nice a person they are.

133 - That's actually why I couldn't get into Hetalia. I couldn't tell anyone apart =/ Which is a shame because I think the idea of it is so delightfully cracktastic.

137 - From what I've seen, Hetalia has as much to do with history as pornography has to do with real-life romance. If you're so interested in history I don't see why you're looking at caricatures of countries instead of actually reading a book about it.

150 - Are they as good? No, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to listen to them. Besides, do you feel the same way about new guitarists? Cause with some groups, a change in guitarist can completely change the way the music sounds too.

157 - Listen to what you want. If anyone tries to put you down for it, then it's obvious that they have issues if they find that they have to to restrict themselves and others in regards to what they're allowed to like.

101. I'm the exact same way! I know how it feels; I just don't like getting too emotionally involved in any fandom, especially when sometimes it seems like if you really want to be a part of it, you're in it all the way or you're not a part of it at all.

Case in point: I've been lurking in the Transformers fandom for quite some time now, and as you can imagine there's a lot of merchandise for it -- toys, comics, etc. All the time I hear people going on about the latest toys they bought or their ginormous collection of toys or other goodies, and I know I could never do any of that. Seeing all this makes me feel out of place, I admit, especially since I know that's the kind of thing I don't want to be doing.

In some ways, though, not getting too worked up over fandom might be a good thing. I mean, I know that I don't want some silly little piece of pop culture to become my life.

125. Agreed, which may be why I only saw the first movie and didn't care for it at all. I mean, I totally do NOT get the appeal of jerkass characters like him. Whenever I see one, I get this extremely strong urge to bite their selfish little heads off a la Ozzy Osbourne.
