I always thought the point of the last line - I think it was "It wasn't going to be okay" or something along those lines - was about both characters acknowledging their fuckupedness, which both of them had been denying for most of the book/movie. Neil was all like, "coach loved me" and Brian was repressing it all under an obsession with alien abduction - both of them fully realizing the breadth of what had happened, was, IMO, the first step to dealing with it.

tl;dr I love it and sorta ship it yeah.

122-The night before? I'm a bit gobsmacked, but kind of pissed since you're also probably one of the ones who manages to get recced and get all kinds of lovely comments no matter what brand of shite you dish out at the last minute.

125-Joining the chorus-He's a bastard AND we love him for it.

138-Cam/Addison's guy? The look on Cam's face when he said "I want to make love to my wife" may have been her best moment in the whole series to day. However, a burning yeast infection? Yipes.

139-Cuddy/Wilson-But would Wilson still be cheating with House? Or somebody? Wilson (like someone else) always cheats.

146-Indeed, STFU Claire. The whole duelling daddy issues thing was femslashy fun for awhile but Claire's daddy issues trump anyone else's, and while frankly I think it should be resolved in a way that secret 154 might approve of (YES, I KNOW HUMBERT ISN'T LO's FATHER) I doubt that's going to happen. So, because it can never be said enough-STFU Claire!

125. I do agree with you on a lot of things. He IS selfish and does many things to try and save his own skin but in the end he does redeem himself a little. I mean, he goes back at the end of DMC and that's what gets him killed (plus Elizabeth resorting to Jack's own tactics) and I felt that his decision to save Will at the end of the third film showed he was thinking of someone other than himself for a change but yeah, I don't think he's the loveable rogue that everyone seems to think he is because when push comes to shove he'd probably still put himself first.

Also yes, we need to consider that people like the fact Jack is a bastard. I suppose he's an anti-hero more than a hero and we like it that way. He never claims to be anything but a pirate.

101 -- It's very rare that I bawww or cry over something in my fandoms. A character will touch me to the extreme sometimes, but I never cry at like every single episode of something. but then again, I'm not a very emotional person, aha.
125 -- All those reasons you listed are basically why I like him. Personally, I'm an Elizabeth fan though. More people seem to like Norrington that Jack anyway.
160 -- I wasn't feeling the Suzaku/Euphemia either, but mainly because I don't think they were really that deep. I mean, she had a touching death scene, but I don't think the show ever really "went into" their dynamics very much...

Gonna sort-of agree on Hetalia's art not being very good just to get that out of the way. I tried to read it and failed to keep the characters apart. That's not supposed to happen.

136. It's kind of an unorthodox reason to start feeling good about yourself, but hey, whatever works, works :)

142. What bothers me more are those icon artists who make shitty recolors of pictures and are then hailed as if they've made something 'artistic'. Fanartcrops at least manage to look decent, even though this is not through any necessary skill on the part of the icon artist.

148. You probably just secretly enjoy fantasizing about people with political power being dominated. Or the writing was just that hot.

not!secret 5: People do point that out, just not fans of those characters. Though the term 'Mary Sue' has been overused like a cheap hooker lately. I think many people don't understand what it means.

Agreed. Some of the Hetalia wank reminds me a lot of Megatokyo and the other webcomics wank--and that's what it is, a webcomic. People bashed on MT because of the crappy art, the skeevy pedo premise, and the creator's temper tantrums, and I don't think Hetalia looks that much better. So what'd this guy do to have his comic made into a show that the other artists aren't?

Now, now, I need to say something about your Lord of the Rings examples. People cry, "Mary Sue!" at Arwen because, well- yeesh, in the movie, she transformed into Xena, Warrior Princess, and snatched away Glorfindel's role.
As for Legolas, he is more awesome in the book, but- in the movie, he's no worse than the other male elves.
