I dunno, how much actual inserting are you doing? I mean - when I wrote Spike, he liked Alice Cooper (reasonable, and just like me), and lemon drops (so do i!). I don't think that's terrible.

Unless your OC is just a thinly-disguised you, right down to body/hair/eyes/what they had for lunch, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I didn't like him at first at all, but I warmed up to him. I haven't seen any of Season 3 yet, though, so I don't know what he's like this season.
