Agreed 100%. Drives me crazy when people infantilize the Hobbits in fics. Some of the ones we see in canon are maybe young, but none of the main ones are kids. They are all of age for a Hobbit. The youngest would have been Pippin, who was only 11 at Bilbo's party, but it had been 17 years before the Hobbits leave the Shire. So Pippin would have been around 18 in human years, and he's the absolute youngest. The others are all at least several years older than him.

I really like ATLA, it was a great show that did many rights (though not perfect). But agree that people need to stop comparing other shows to it. It's over, we can view new shows for what they are now, even if they used ATLA as an inspiration.
