133. On one hand, The Beatles are great. On the other hand, The Breeders kick my ass. (You ever put "Last Splash" on your car stereo and just gunned it as fast as it will go? Absolutely exhilarating.) Kim Deal managed to take a second-tier song and make it something unforgettable.

145. Speed Racer was my favorite movie from last year. Full stop. I'm still confounded by its detractors, because it crafted a more complex and rewarding cinema experience than anything else I've seen recently.

165. Your secret is pretty much unreadable, and I may well be from a totally different fan generation, but I have to ask: who in the everliving hell hates the original Star Wars Trilogy? Seriously, even seeing Mark Hamill there gives me the warm fuzzies.

You weren't the only one. Nothing feels better than having a lightsaber hanging from your belt. Although when all the kids in the neighborhood got together and played Star Wars, I always ended up being Wedge. I didn't mind, because it was the only time I survived until the end of our games.

I wish I had a neighbourhood like that :( (Seriously, lightsaber and/or X-Wing and I'd be happy XD)

It was pretty amazing. The only bad thing is that we had many, many kids who wanted to play, and they all wanted to be rebels. I think we had kids playing Dack and Zev and Nien-Numb after a while. It helped that I was the only kid in the neighborhood who actually had copies of the Trilogy on VHS, so I had memorized Empire and could allocate characters out. Fun times; probably led to my love of RPGs and conventions later.
