A few mangaka have create some of the most detailed and beautiful art I have ever seen but the story stinks. In that case, no amount of art is going to make me read the manga. Sorry. For example, I thought the art for One Piece was amazing and really original but the story bored me after awhile so I stopped read it. As nice as the art is, and I do love Eiichirō Oda style, his storytelling leaves me wanting something more.
There must always be a balance.

Good art enchances the story but I'm not going to discard a book because of the artsyle unless it's something like Super Milk-chan >_>
