Uh, excuse me? "Defining myself"? Lol, yeah. I think you're the one defining cosplayers, honey. You know, the whole "if you cosplay, you're a loser!!!" thing? That's defining someone by one of their hobbies. Whereas I, on the other hand, think you're an asshole because you're -- surprise! -- defining someone based on what they do for fun. Cos I sure as hell only decide to play dress-up because it's fun to do in a group of friends, and I think the costumes are neat.

I don't care if you don't enjoy it. I don't care if you don't find it engaging or think it's "frivolous," though lol at that being your own judgement call here -- I think keeping track of celebrities' lives, watching reality TV shows or sitcoms, or most collecting hobbies are "frivolous," but it doesn't make them bad nor the people who do it "stupid." I don't think you're an asshole because you don't like it, I think you're an asshole for calling everyone who does like it a loser. See the difference there? That difference between "this isn't to my tastes" and "OMG YOU'RE A DUMBASS FOR DISAGREEING LOL"? Squint a little harder?

I'm just baffled that you don't get that you're being a dick. Seriously. "It's just my opinion that you suck for liking something I don't~" is something that anyone out of grade school should be able to see is childish and ridiculous.
