I will join you OP, even though I don't exactly remember the specifics of why I hate Dune. I just know I read it and immediately hated it.

tbh I don't even know why it's still on my bookshelf; I got over "it's a sci-fi classic and I should shelve it with my other classics" long ago but it's still there with other iffy "classics" like Ender's Game. I should fix that. I just can't remember WHY I hated it, aside from the MC being an insufferable piece of shit and there being zero explanation as to why we should identify with him or root for him.
