For your vents.

My mother was supposed to have an important out-patient procedure done today. One she's had done before without any problem. She's lost weight since she had her last one done. Her doctor is totally fine with doing the procedure on a plus-size woman.

So she gets in there this morning, and the anesthesiologist is a new woman she's never seen before. The person the doctor usually uses wasn't available. This woman informs the doctor and my mom that she is refusing to do the procedure out-patient. Even though the doctor makes clear that it has safely been done multiple times and that my mom has lost quite a bit of weight since then. Nope, anesthesiologist won't budge.

So now the procedure is going to have to wait for several more months until the doctor is available to do it in the hospital. Meanwhile, my mom will be suffering.

Fuck medical personnel who have issues with fat people. This has very clearly been safely done out-patient on my mom, and with her at a larger size. This is just this woman being an asshole.

That sucks.

Maybe you could call the office and reschedule out-patient for when the usual person can be there? Surely the doctor doesn't want your mom to suffer.

Yeah, I think trying to go with the same personnel as before would be ideal, not to mention easier than doing it at a hospital.

I'm fucking sick for standing up for someone despite their fucked up fandom interests. Friendship is the only thing that matters, right? Fiction is just fiction, right? Well okay, how about you be a fucking decent human being first too?

Gah. I needed to get my thoughts out. I'm trying to reclaim my own life after dealing with such a horrible person. The red flags were all there, but I feel so bad for being so ignorant and trusting...

Before you do anything, I really think you should work on separating the bad things this person has done to you from the fact that they have kinks you don't like. Were they forcing their kinks on you? Then that's the problem. It would be a problem with any kink if you didn't want it, even an "unproblematic" one like feet or something. The problem is not what their kinks are.

I've talked about it a few times in the past here but man, I sure do have a thing for cooking erotica to the point that it's become a pronounced fetish. Alas, it is by no means a common occurrence for other writers in my fandoms to ever go full throttle with it. I am so thirsty in this desert. I just love hot men and I love hot food even more. Please describe in rich detail the baker's big strong burly arms as he prepares bread or the pastry maker's parted lips as he loving powders blueberry scones. Hmm? What's that? I had no idea what "cooking erotica" was, and I always thought it veered into feeding people/that other thing people are into (not for me, thanks!) or cannibalism (a few steps too far past vamps for me, thanks!)...but uh...this sounds kinda hot, ngl. Although I think I'd prefer it they start with clothes.

Now I'm just thinking to that one fic I read where the MC is a vamp, but is teaching a cooking course, but the meal is the OC lol...

Ugh, my sympathies. I don't want to start a gender debate here, but I have a good guess about yours and it sucks. I hope the rest of your household shapes the hell up, and don't be shy about getting loud and angry if they don't.

In my case it's because the GF has chronic fatigue. She regularly has to spend the majority of the day asleep and without the necessary energy to do housework.

I don't know your circumstances, but I know it sometimes sucks. Is there a good reason for your circumstances? If so, sorry but we just gotta suck it up. Take your relaxation where you can get it. Chip in on vent threads. Do whatever you gotta do to make it work.

Mine’s kinda dumb, but I ordered an expensive cake and when I went to pick it up, they gave it to me in a shipping box. I didn’t think anything of it because I was sure the cake would be in a pasty box inside the shipping box, but when I got home and unboxed it, it was just the cake inside with no pastry box and bits of cardboard flakes were in the frosting. I’m not sure if I should complain or not. I did scrape off most of the frosting and ate the cake (it was pretty good), but I’m still annoyed by how it was packaged.

having worked in a couple of bakeries, I don't blame you for being annoyed. That was really irresponsible of them.

Complain. You're not paying a premium for friggin' CAKE to eat cardboard flakes.

What kind of bakery doesn't even have the fancy cake in the fancy cake box? Even my friend who briefly ran a cake ordering service out of our tiny apartment bought fancy cake boxes. Is the shipping box even food safe? I would complain and threaten to leave poor reviews until they at least offered partial refund or a discount on my next order.

Even if you don't care about getting a replacement or any money back, mentioning what happened to the bakery so that it doesn't happen again might be helpful. Maybe they had a new person who didn't realize the shipping box wouldn't be a good idea and that person needs better training, or they had run out of cake boxes and now they know better than to let that happen or use a shipping box instead (if they really needed to use the shipping box in a pinch, they probably could have used some parchment paper or something inside to protect the cake).

I am, of this day, an AUNTIE!!!! And I can't visit because some selfish-arse piece of shit in a fancy neighbourhood couldn't stay in quarantine properly! I'm stuck on the other side of a very hostile body of water and I want to murder every person responsible for keeping me from New Baby.
