1) I suggested a video topic to a YouTuber I support on Patreon. They did the video and gave me a shout-out.

2) I got a super good action-adventure murder mystery gift fic in the exchange I participated in.

3) A random stranger resurrected me in WoW tonight.

Nice. I've been on a random Disney kick. I've been watching Disney movies and Disney list videos on Youtube. And I had several dreams last night that featured Disney characters.

Friends commented on one of my non-stop posts about my rare fandom and like, actually wanted to talk about the characters and stuff! Talking about my fandom with other people who actually know it and have thoughts about it and stuff... that might almost have been better than me writing fic about it. I've missed discussing it with people. :D

This happened a while ago, but somebody told me that my doll pictures always made them smile and that just brightened up my day.

Someone I know has been going through a series I wrote two-three years back and leaving lots of enthusiastic comments.

She just got to the Big Reveal, the one that happens 20,000 words in and is foreshadowed extensively but nobody ever, ever-ever-ever picks it ahead of time...

The comments for Heart of Obsidian are some of the cutest I've seen on Goodreads. The sheer, unfiltered level of squee is just super adorable and renews my faith in humanity. I haven't read it, just saw someone mention it on their blog, but yeah. Made me smile. It's nice to see happy people in fandom being happy.

One of my favorite ever fanfics that was on hiatus for a few years is being reposted by the author, since she's been editing it.

It's just different enough from the original (which is still up) that it feels a bit like getting to read it for the first time.

Who else is incredibly tired?

Me. It's probably hormonal because I always get really tired just before my cycle but it still sucks.

ME. It's deadlines atm for my job and I have only slept like 3 to 4 hours a night this past week (and the last two weeks). I am somewhat near the point where between laughing hysterically and sobbing like a child.

Oddly, my body feels tired, but I also feel like I'm about to surpass what I is acceptable for my limit's, almost like a superhero transformation except not at all.

I should probably try to sleep. BUT I HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO :(

Me. It’s really weird. I’m always tired, but this past week I’ve just been way more tired than usual. I called out from work (which I almost never do) on Saturday, and I was this close to going home early yesterday, but there was just so much to do that my guilt won out even as I struggled to focus. I would normally wave it away because I’m on a new medication, but it’s Concerta. Maybe I mistakenly got a dose from Opposite Land.

OMG, due to my uni's online course program ABSOLUTELY SUCKING in every conceivable way at being able to give an exam, I have spent most of the normal hours today trying to use it, and then the wee hours of the night instead figuring out how to create a PDF form instead. SUCCESS! But now I am super super super tired.
(but yeah, actually, I've been tired since September and haven't always had as a good of a reason aside from *gestures vaguely at everything*)

Already exhausted from lack of sleep. And the muscle relaxer my doc gave me at my appointment this morning has really hit m and made me evn more tired. But it seems to be helping my pain. I took a decent nap, and I expect I'll sleep well tonight. I was given one dose for this morning and the rest of the pills are for night time for the next 10 days.

Meeeee. But it's because I finally got enough sleep to not wake up just as exhausted as when I went to bed, and then burned it all doing a TON of stuff today. (And still didn't get all the stuff that needs doing done, but telling myself I did a lot, and it's okay that I'm tired now.)

I think it's because we all feel safe to be tired now. Or at least feel safer to. We've been so goddamned hypervigilant for months and maybe years, and add in the Covid shit, and all the uncertainty of the future, and maybe it's no wonder everyone is so tired. I know I've been dragging my ass out of bed this last week. It's nuts!

We've been in a pandemic for a year

That is, broadly, my explanation

Yeah, I've been trying to organize basically a lifetime worth of stuff, despite being kinda sick with an infection. Also, I'm very OCD. And sleep-deprived. Needless to say, all of it isn't going super well.

I am. Between the pandemic, being overworked, and a neighbourhood so shitty I'd like to burn it to the ground...

Is it from a fandom you follow, or chosen for another reason?

Angbang (Melkor/Sauron) from the Silmarillion and Steve/Bucky from the MCU.

Was just thinking about this earlier, remembering that secret that someone made not long ago about reading their own fic to go to sleep, and thinking I may do that again myself since I'm not sure how to finish the current fic about them.

It's Sydney/Hardin from Vagrant Story. Their "partnership", like everything else about the game, is messy and dark and doomed, so I don't know why I find them so comforting. I mean, it's a long story why I ship them at all beyond the stuff like the official character blurbs calling them "partners" when Sydney is clearly in charge, and saying that they are each other's "truest friend", but I think a large part of it boils down to Sydney having someone who actually sees him and not just his power.

Whatever it is, reading/writing them is almost like a hypnotic state, just sucks up any other stress while I'm eavesdropping on my boys.
