OMG WTF. For Sam to go from being that small at 14 to being 6'4" or whatever he is when he's 21 (the age at which most men stop attaining height at all, and it slows down a lot after around 18), that's an almost unheard of growth spurt. Especially since he was supposed to be chubby at 12, and usually if a male child loses their chub it's at least partially through getting taller. Assuming that Dean has attained his full height in that picture, that would make Sam about four and a half feet tall, which means that from 14 to 18 he'd have to grow about 6 inches a year, which is kind of insane. Casting fail, SPN, casting fail.
