Anyone calling you a troll must never have met one of these girls who seriously prefer anime guys to real life men. Several years ago, my brother liked a girl in our local anime club and he asked her out several times. She gave him the cold shoulder because she seriously preferred the gay guys from Gravitation to him. Finally he gave up and a while later he met a real woman who's not completely lost in a fantasy world. They're now married and have a beautiful little girl and are quite literally living happily ever after.

The anime girl? Still alone, still lusting after painted 2-D guys. Pretty pathetic, especially when I think of what she could have had if she had just pulled her head out of her comics long enough to give my brother a chance. But I'm actually grateful, because my brother is much happier with his wife than he would have been with her.

174 - I wouldn't worry about mispronouncing things. Have you ever heard the original Japanese voice actors of the anime in your list try to say even half those names? Try it, it's hilarious. Besides, I always call Relena "Ray-lay-na", because I knew her name long before I actually saw GW and got so used to thinking of "Relena" the way it would be pronounced in my native language that hearing it like "Ree-lee-na" was downright disappointing. None of my fandom friends have ever commented on it; I don't even know whether or not they realise it's intentional. It just doesn't matter!

To be honest, I'd be more worried about my family if I were you. D: They really thought that? That's awful!

103. I've got nothing against Johnny Depp, and I think he might even be capable of playing a good Mad Hatter (maybe. Also, take what I say with a grain of salt because I'm not really at all invested in the Alice series.) but after seeing him in that makeup and costume it turned me off to that movie.

140. I refuse to believe that the second person there, second from the left, is a man. Anyone who would draw something that looks like that and call it a man is out of touch with reality.
But I agree with you on Shinji and Quatre, the only two characters there I've been exposed to. I think people who call Shinji a pussy missed the point. He's actually incredibly brave by a more realistic definition of bravery. See, he does things that terrify him, of his own free will. And yeah, he is selfish and stubborn and stupid, and the reasons he chooses to fight are far from noble, but that doesn't change the fact that he chose to fight when given the opportunity to leave NERV, and that, in my books, takes guts.
And I always liked Quatre because I identify with him most ideologically. Non-violence is awesome and doesn't make you less manly.

I dunno man, the Disney version is way trippier than the books actually were. Maybe the story will actually follow the Alice plotline this time instead of having the Cheshire cat sing the Jabberwocky and Tweedledum and Tweedledee replacing the Mock Turtle and the Gryphon. And maybe they'll actually reference the Hatter's lunar watch. :|

But those are just my preferences.
