Pop-tarts are not ravioli, chili is not soup, and a hot dog is not a sandwich

(Anonymous) 2021-02-20 02:32 am (UTC)(link)Definitions aren't lines in reality; definitions are convenient ready-to-hand mental categories that human beings fit things into based on language that we invent
Pop-tarts aren't ravioli because it would be fatuous to call them ravioli. You don't have to define 'ravioli' more neatly to exclude pop tarts; it's not worth the bother.
Re: Saw a meme today that really distressed me.
(Anonymous) 2021-02-20 11:06 am (UTC)(link)Poptarts are absolutely /NOT/ ravioli. Pastry is not pasta, and never has any poptart been filled with meat/cheese, nor has it's cooking instructions provided sufficient safety regulations in order to heat/cook/store such foods to proper temperature! I AM OFFENDED!!!
