Re: What are some really popular foods that you just don't enjoy.

I’ve been told I enjoy sushi wrong because the only kind I like are the tempura ones with cream cheese and other stuff slathered on top. I guess I’m just a basic bitch, but I don’t really like seafood and tempura sushi gets rid of the fish taste.

I love sushi, and eat it at least once every couple of weeks, but I don't think there's anything wrong with liking the specialty rolls. The specialty rolls are bomb! There's a reason they cost more. And cream cheese in a roll is some good shit.

Rolls are absolutely my preference. I do really enjoy some nigiri, too, but for me it's more of a nice treat on the side. I wouldn't order ten pieces of nigiri in one sitting; that would get bland, imo. (Well, I could probably eat six or eight pieces of chopped scallop nigiri and be happy, but it's my fave, and it has mayo and tobiko mixed in, so the flavor is already more complex.)

I'm just lucky I live in a city where a fancy roll costs about the same as a basic roll costs in a lot of other places.
