Intellectually, I understand the appeal of this idea, but I hate River Song so much. No judgement on anyone who feels otherwise - and I do realize that mine is very much a minority opinion - but I hated her from her first appearance in Ten’s run. Finding out who she was in Eleven’s run did nothing to endear her to me any further. Would have liked to enjoy the character and her storylines more, but I bounced off hard and could never get into any of it.

I really enjoyed this actor in 'E.R.' and for some weird reason, as soon as she came on the show, and spoke, I was convinced she was Black, or at least bi-racial. Don't ask me why, I don't know, it was just in my head she was.

I love the choreo rehearsal videos for any song tbh; they're ridiculous amazing when they're fooling around, and ridiculously awe inspiring when they are just going hard.

I don't mind super badass OR super smart characters (but when you someone BOTH you have to work real hard at making them NOT a Mary Sue) My issue is that when they make a badass female character 99% of the time, they have to include "Snarky and cruel". Like being tough for women automatically goes along with being a jerk.

I know why this is the way it is, Joss Whedon's fault mostly. Writing women in an era where it was considered "Cliche" (and generally considered to be a sexist stereotype) to make the female character the kind and compassionate one, so she had to be "Tough" and "Edgy" and "Cold" to as to fight the stereotype. And it's just dragged along since the 80's / 90's because writers are lazy.

Honestly, I just don't like how "Says something cutting with a smirk and then kicking your ass" is somehow a substitute for having a personality in both male and female characters, but specifically it seems to be the ONLY way you can have a super tough and super smart Female Character(tm), but I feel I'm veering away from the point of your secret now.

I sometimes feel like the odd man out in the Sailor Moon fandom because I like all of the voice actors for Usagi/Serena (I’ve watched the Dic/CWI dub, the Latin American dub, the Viz dub, and of course, the original Japanese with subs). I don’t think I could pick a favorite. I like all their takes on the character.
