I wish there was a Cancel Culture Committee who looks at all the evidence of someone being accused of something and as soon as they decide someone IS worth being stripped of whatever power/fame/money they had.
But alas, all we have are PR crews and lawyers who decide what to do based upon whether there is money to be lost and whether or not it's good for the brand.

What a dangerous idea. You honestly think that kind of power would never be abused/is automatically valid? If so, that is either tragically naive or frankly rather sinister.

Er, it was a joke. I think it's weird that there is this assumption that when someone is getting "cancelled" that there is this collective decision to oust someone when in reality there really isn't such a thing as being cancelled. People always find places to exist and for high profile/rich people, they always have people they can orbit around to find a time to drive a narrative that can bring them back onto the same/a similar career.

I just meant, it would be nice, wouldn't it? That when someone is revealed to be a bad person and we can all be like "Oh Joss Whedon sucks," and never have to worry about having to see or hear about him ever again, but the world doesn't work like that.
