Pre-Covid, I used to ride the train to different cities on the weekend. I'd buy a roundtrip ticket (they're cheap on the weekend) and go from one station to another, then switch trains and go to a different station. One train would pass right by the ocean and it would always remind me of this scene from Spirited Away. Ah, I really miss riding the train.

I absolutely love the piece of music whenever it gets to the train ride part of Spirited away.

I haven't seen Spirited Away, but ever since I was a kid, whenever I'm out and I see a travel-bus (Greyhound or whatever), I feel this deep yearning to be on it, moving towards some far-away thing while I sit idly, closed up in its little microcosm world.

Ok, I never got into Ghibli...

I have an issue with sad endings, and Ghibli always seems very... wistful.

How is my read on this? Is there any Ghibli you'd recommend for me?

This confuses me, Jerma's always been pretty well known? He was really super popular in game streaming even before twitch streaming got big. He and Ster_ were really popular back int that day. He's so well known that he literally had a canon character named after him. (Scout from Team Fortress 2.)

I'm worried about it too, but he does a pretty good job at keeping things not related to streaming to himself, so I don't think this will happen anytime soon. (but again, this never stopped anybody before so...)

Transcript: After hearing everyone and their mother in the Faction Paradox fandom praise this for years, I finally got around to reading it. What a waste of time. Dumb, shallow romance, OOC Holmes and Watson, rape as drama, the whole bag. If you want to get into Faction Paradox, start with This Town Will Never Let Us Go or the BBV audio dramas after reading the intro to Book of the War. If you want weird eldritch Sherlock Holmes, play/watch a playthrough of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened or read The Cthulhu Casebooks series. Basically anything is better than Kelly Hale's crap.

There is no question that the horrible things "name" people do are covered up by the people making money off of them. I've had a shit week (the highlight being my finished Kodama) so hopefully nothing comes up during the weekend.
