I feel like that about the art in a lot of the recent cartoons. Steven Universe, She-Ra, etc. But it's just not a style I like, so... *shrug*

Same. Those two in particular stick out to me when I think of new shows that everyone adores and recommends but that I just can't look past how ugly (to me personally) I feel it is.

I think Steven Universe is in line with the CN tradition of shows having intentionally "ugly" style. It doesn't work for everybody but if you've watched other CN shows, it's not like this is the only one that looks like that.
