Exactly. And not just defense attorneys. L&O has a real hate boner for Internal Affairs (IAB) which is an institution inside the police force which is there to investigate cops who break the law.

AYRT Yeah, I know someone who was a whistleblower in the police force (for serious wrongdoing), and he had to leave the force, move to another state, and he and his family still get death threats a decade later.

I thought there was some corruption in the IAB too? (In the show).

Accountability is important (very much so in Police departments), but so often it feels like an external investigation wouldn't be a bad idea either (should there be corruption within the offices that are supposed to hold everyone accountable).
