American Gods

This was one of my big disappointments with the book American Gods. I was hoping for more non-Norse (and even non-Egyptian) mythologies to show up in significant roles.

In the show, I did like that Kali/Mama-Ji gets more of her own scenes. (But she should really be Mata-Ji, no?)

Did you read the same book I did? The one I read had significant characters from Russian, Native American, West African, Greek, Celtic, Hindu, Christian, Arabic, German, Anglo-Saxon, and Ethiopian mythology
