I'm not a fan of overly flowery prose when it comes to describing cunt. Like, cunt is fine. Just cunt, not an exuberant blushed rose kissed in morning dew.

On a related note. It's amazing how many writers completely ignore testicles. They, ah, do exist and it's good to mention them at least once in a blue balling moon.

Yes to all of this. Cunt is a great word for sex scenes in my opinion. And especially to testicles. IMHO, testicles are sexy.

I want to be able to use the word cunt in my smut, but cunt is still such a gendered insult here in the US. You only throw that word down if shit is getting serious. Or you’re a serious misogynistic ass.

I think there’s a huge difference between using cunt to refer to the body part and using it as an insult. The first doesn’t feel misogynistic at all (to me).

Unless you mean as some kind of dirty talk insult?

You can call someone a dick as an insult, or you can call a penis a dick and that's just a neutral slang term for it.

Cunt feels a little "dirtier" but it's fine talking about the body part, especially in sex scenes. I like it better than "pussy" tbh (although that's fine too.)

I find this really interesting because I've seen a mixed response to the word cunt here in England; like some people will take it as the worst swear word you can say, whereas everyone else I've known in conversation use loosely as a common swear that just gets used a lot with the rest of the swears in conversation (either just in an informal way or to exaggerate the conversation).

Still, with context like a smut fic I don't think its that out of place as a description unless the angle of the fic is going for something darker like something angsty or the verbal humiliation route.
