I never cared for fluffy fic. Ever. But now, I've found a fandom where all I want is that cute lovey dovey feel good shit.


And it's all F!S fault for introducing me to this show lol. Gotta add this to stuff that's getting me through this pandemic as I patiently await S2.

B!S: it's a kid's show! I'm definitely not the target demographic, but here I am eating this up like High School Musical (back when I was the target demo lol) because the premise is cute and I love the songs and all the characters are adorable! I never thought I'd read fic for a kid's show :(

Facebook's stalker service (aka its 'people you might know' suggestions) recently popped up the real life account of minor celebrity. A bit of poking around found that we have a mutual friend, and that person also has two other minor celebrities from the same show as their friends. I find two of them extremely attractive.

Now Facebook suggests all three of them to me EVERY DAY. My fingers are itching to click the add button, and yet it just feels too creepy.

(Most people will have seen or heard of the show they're in, some will know their names. It's quite a niche show though and they don't have huge numbers of friends on Facebook so not going to name it, sorry!)

I saw Raya and the Last Dragon and ADORED IT. I don't mean that I liked it or loved it - I was head over heels for it. I cried multiple times during the movie. Secret because, even though I have tried to avoid it, I'm sure it is being criticized all over the internet and I'm a 31 year woman who shouldn't be this over the moon for a Disney movie.

Bojack Horseman helped me, little bit by painful bit, deal with my divorce in their handling of Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter. I also dealt with a toxic , abusive mother, and the eulogy episode brought me to cathartic tears. This show understands that grief is not linear, isn't tidy, isn't logical and isn't pretty. That's a refreshing take and some much needed truth on television.

In a nonsexual way, I like fanart of characters being chubby when they weren't shown that way in the original media, especially if it makes sense for their character.

The bear scene in Fox and the Hound FUCKED ME UP as a kid. It's part of the reason I'm terrified of bears to this day.

I have an easier time watching the Law and Order SVU episodes with male victims. I don't get off on it or enjoy their pain or anything like that, it just is something different than the constant female victimization you get on t.v. and it doesn't hit as uncomfortably close to home.

I wish we'd get a filmed adaptation of the Simon R. Green Nightside series. Love action or animated, I dont care, I'd love it! Secret because I only know one other person whose read this series.

Someone who tried to get back into anime but got immediately confronted again by how some anime fans really bend over backwards to justify the gross decisions of a mangaka.

Bonus secret: I think the younger side of fandom is more vocal about pedophilia and sexual harassment as humor in fiction because they're still reading manga and watching shonen. And while it isn't the case for all anime of course, it is a big enough problem to be infuriating. Looking over old anime as an adult is a trip. "Like okay this show is good, but now the main character is going to rape a woman, and like it has no actual importance in the story? He's still a good guy? No consequences or meaning? Okay."

I want to tear down all the parts of modern entertainment culture epitomized in 4 hour action movies and Disney+ streaming shows about superheroes that we're supposed to take as serious meditations on grief. It's all totally airless and completely subject to the financial needs of mega corporations rather than any useful creative impulse. Burn it all down.

I really wanted to like Superman & Lois, but the drama with the boys is making it unwatchable and the granddad is just more of the same. And now that Clark is their coach, they eat up even more of his scenes. I've had enough and this is where I get off the bus.

I wish the human player character in Nioh 2 was instead just a random Karakasa Umbrella enemy from the game. You can keep the plot the same or erase it entirely, I don't care, all I want is to explore a dark evil realm as an evil yet strangely adorable ghost umbrella.
