Right? Charl is cute and the use of Charl is funny but I am waiting to find out what the purpose is. I wonder of COVID had anything to do with it?

I think there's definitely an aspect of this that is COVID-touched, yeah, but he seems to have worked around that pretty well so far? There's clearly something about the nature of fame going on here and I like that, but now I'm eager to know what movie/cinema issue this is building up to.

I'm not even sure I get it. I watch video essays sporadically and based on interest, so it feels like dropping in on a syndicated show from the 90s after missing a few episodes.

And yet I still support it because I want youtube creators to actually be, ya know, creative. It's like how Let's Players are doing all their... whatever any of that is. I don't know what it is and I don't really want it, but I hope it works for you and I hope you're happier for it.

i get why others might be annoyed the charl, but patrick seems to be having fun with it, i can't really get too mad over a creator having a good time making a project.
