Kinda bummed. I just found out that the guy who owns my favorite seafood restaurant is retiring and closing his place at the end of April. He makes the absolute best bowl of steamed mussels I've ever eaten (in a light, spicy broth with large pieces of garlic toast on the side for dipping), and his fried clam strips basket is my go-to when I sit at the bar watching a game. He has a tight little wine selection for being a hole in the wall place. And he has one of the few brunch places around here that do bottomless mimosas at a great price (six bucks!). Sigh. I understand his reasoning, but I'm gonna miss him and his delicious seafood like fuck. :(
