It was a very exciting time at the grocery store, ah ha~

I love a good grocery store clearance!

Kinda bummed. I just found out that the guy who owns my favorite seafood restaurant is retiring and closing his place at the end of April. He makes the absolute best bowl of steamed mussels I've ever eaten (in a light, spicy broth with large pieces of garlic toast on the side for dipping), and his fried clam strips basket is my go-to when I sit at the bar watching a game. He has a tight little wine selection for being a hole in the wall place. And he has one of the few brunch places around here that do bottomless mimosas at a great price (six bucks!). Sigh. I understand his reasoning, but I'm gonna miss him and his delicious seafood like fuck. :(

That sucks, OP. I don't go out to eat much, but I'm always sad when a place with awesome food closes. I know it's more work, but if you cook at all, maybe see if he'll give you the mussel recipe? It won't replace all the things you like about going there, but it's something.

TIL the last execution in the UK was in 1964. It genuinely shocked me that it was that late.

Literally nothing, not even me. I went back to bed after feeding my critters this morning and am still in bed at 2 pm. It's not COVID, I just didn't get enough sleep this week. I need to get up and do stuff, but now I'm in that "too much sleep makes you groggy" headspace. I can tell I'll feel better once I shake that off, though.

I went for a run, and ran on the dirt track at the park by my house. Next to the park is a preschool and their little playground is next to the track. There were a bunch of the little preschool kids lined up at the fence saying hi to people as they went by. So I go by and they all yell "HIIIIIIIII!!!" so I wave and say hi back, then one of the kids shouts "Run real fast!" and I say "You want to see me run real fast?" and the kids go "Yeah!" so I go "Okay, bye!" and take off as fast as I can, and from behind me I hear all these little kids go "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!" and seriously it made my week, lol.

I got the brief done I wanted to and started on my speech. Right now I have a splitting headache, though. Going to eat, take some meds, and then rest for a few hours.

Tried yoga for the first time. It was nice. Less hard than I expected. Probably just because it was a beginner class, but I also like to think I'm in good shape!

Go to hot yoga! I love it.

Did the fishing tournament once in Animal Crossing. Went shopping to get food to grill if the wind dies down. Am about to take a nap. So sleepy.

I had to get rid of some mice in my kitchen this morning. I hate mice. Some of my neighbors have this habit of throwing garbage where they're not supposed to so of course the mice come and then they get into the other apartments. I also have a screwed up leg so it hurts to walk. I did get some good stuff when I was shopping today though.

Small secret?
I have a fandom friend who is just getting into fanfic writing. I think all fanfic writing is great for creativity, and I know that it always takes time to improve but it's been a little difficult read someone's smut writing when they're first starting out. Kudos to my friend for going for it! I spent years working on my smut writing before feeling courageous enough to share.

Well, my laptop turned itself off this morning - just this sad little descending 'pewww~' sort of noise, like a ray gun that's feeling down. I gave it ten minutes and tried to turn it back on, no luck. I plugged it in, tried again, no luck. Gave it an hour, still no luck.
It's a drag for this to happen on a Sunday when the computer repair shop isn't open, but I've got Monday off so I can drop it off then. And I've still got my 'old' laptop, which works alright, so no big deal. Mainly I'm just worried about the things I don't have backed up, like my uni notes and my last twelve months of writing... yeah...
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

Had so many things I hoped to get done today, got none of them done because I woke up with a migraine and had to spend the entire day lying in bed in a dark room with my eyes closed. Intermittently was more bored than uncomfortable and tried to finish the drawing I had started last night, but not only was that too much light, the room was so dim I could hardly see what I was drawing, so yeah no.

Scrolling through secret post on a lit screen was enough to make me dizzy again too, so no more refuge from boredom I guess. :/

(At least it was today instead of tomorrow. I can skip the AC fishing tourney. Do not want to miss Pokemon Go Community Day.)

Absolutely emotionally distressed. Stressed out, tired. Bad luck in the game that normally keeps me high. Tired of everything. Something just fell and made a noise and I was so startled I jumped in the chair. So tired that anything that could give me any trouble makes me jump scared. Tired. I think this is the word I said the most in the past week. Idk how I am supposed to wait until June for my break. Wanted to say everything is fine bc at least I'm not in debt or anything but. I'm exhausted in a way that no amount of sleep feels like it'd help. Maybe a burnout?

I'm the most jealous I've ever been of America. I just saw a tweet that your mob vaccinated more than four million people yesterday. Four million. Twenty-four hours.
Australia has barely passed one million, and that's in FOUR FUCKING MONTHS.
