(Anonymous) 2021-04-10 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)The mlm were similarly lackluster. They didn't exist in ME1+2, and for 3 it was a barely-there side-character or you could romance Kaiden if you did an incredibly convoluted set of steps to 'unlock' his romance.
I'm not sure I can judge on how bad or good they were done, for the time they were probably okay, but I personally couldn't stand how Liara would invade your personal boundaries and it was seen as romantic because she was the 'canon' love interest. As for the mlm options I've never played them so I couldn't say.
A lot of it will be personal preference I'd say.

(Anonymous) 2021-04-10 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)Liara sounds frustrating. I don't get the need for a canon love interest in games where the whole point is player choice. It happens all too often.

(Anonymous) 2021-04-11 02:08 am (UTC)(link)And unlocking Kaidan's romance isn't remotely convoluted. You have to 1) talk to him, 2) not be a fucking asshole, and 3) express interest, same as any other new romance in the game.
