I started watching GA during lockdown and you know what? I freaking love it. Who cares if it's basically a soap? Who doesn't love hot people drama.

I like that Meredith is a mess at times, I like the characters and their relationships. I even liked Izzy!

I like that the LGBT+ rep isn't tokenistic and they have as messy, chaotic relationships as all the straight couples.

I was annoyed when Hahn vanished because I liked her and the different energy she brought. I would have liked to see how she and Cristina eventually worked together because they would have been awesome together but Teddy is cool.

The first time I saw that scene, I got emotional because I could never imagine loving someone that much. Grey's gets a lot of stick, but it has some super gut punchingly writing moments.

Plus, Sandra Oh.

I mean, it's totally a soap opera (and that's not a bad thing), but it's got some pretty compelling characters. Even the ones I don't really much care for (like Amelia, Jo, or Owen), I still get sucked into hoping things turn out okay for them.
