So there's going to be at least one character who's designated the fragile badass, one who's Joss's self-insert, everyone will talk like they grew up in California in the 90s, and the historical aspects will be well-researched using only the finest pulp romance novels? I mean, if you're just talking about his dialogue style, I might agree. It might be unpopular these days, but I liked Buffyspeak and I liked his Avengers-style banter. (I even still like Sorkin's dialogue.)

But I really don't need more "kickass/traumatized women", at least not in the kinds of stories that Whedon tends to tell.

This is what I don't like about Whedon's work. I can understand why others like it and there are elements and tropes I enjoy, but not how he does it.

I heard there's some post production cgi work where they do that, smooth out people's skin and get rid of the pores.

I know San Junipero is meant to be the "positive" episode and that's part of why everyone loves it but idk. When I thought about it too much I still found many of the implications extremely bleak. I didn't get the feel-good vibes about the conclusion personally.
