Look, I love Buffy and I love the first Avengers.

But hard same OP.

If this is the behavior he's pulling, there has got to be consequences. I don't care that he made a show I like. You can have a good imagination and a good sense of humor and a good skill for storytelling aaaaaand

Literally none of that has to do with how good a person you are!

So yeah. If a person has committed harm through racism and misogyny by blocking people from opportunities, harassing and abusing them, or outright physically harming them then there have to be consequences. No matter who they are.

So they really trying to pass the actress off as Asian! The way it was portrayed, i thought she was at least half/that was the implication. But WOW. I would have thought that by that time Hollywood would be over casting white actors as other ethnicities, but no. Clearly, not :/

I don't think one white fan thinking an actress is Asian means anyone involved with the show was actually trying to pass her off as Asian. Some people just make deeply stupid assumptions about race.

Oh man, I know people like this. They don't seem to actually like being parents, but they also seem to think it is everyone's responsibility to be a parent. The idea of anyone, especially a woman, not having kids, is something they just can't fathom.

Why am I doing this?!

I'm reading a fic that is...ugh. Just UGH. The story itself (concept) isn't bad. Clichéd and typical for what it is, but it hasn't been awful. What has been awful is the writing. It's not SO bad that I've stopped reading, but OMG you're using words in the wrong context. Like...ugh. i don't think that word means what you think it means (it does not). IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY BUT I CAN'T WALK AWAY.

It's also a super big fic in the fandom it's in -- someone even interviewed the author lmao. Did the interviewer read it? Idk because my first thought was baby girl you need an editor. A beta. Anyone. Hell, get some grammar app. YOU KEEP MISUSING WORDS?!! WHY?! This is something easily avoided by using a dictionary or Google. Idk. Why am I still reading this? WHY? the worst part is I'm going to read her other story too but this is driving me MAD!!!

I just needed to vent about
1. My unreasonable behavior
2. This person who keeps misusing words (T.T)
3. Damn it i have plenty of other good fic to read why am I still reading this trash?! SOB.

God, yes. I see people (not just fic writers, I've seen giffers on Tumblr do this too) obsess over stats and how many kudos or hits or likes or reblogs they have and it makes it so obvious that they're creating content for all the wrong reasons. Do it because you love it, not because you want to be popular on the internet. =/

They wrote Segway instead of segue. Which I can understand,but there's gratuitous adjective usage throughout the story..."let's sprinkle a little 'jubilant' here and 'solidarity' there (yes, that's a noun, but it was not the noun that should have been used)" drone. Someone gave you a thesaurus. But that's a gift given to you once you've mastered the dictionary.

The basic errors I've come to overlook at this point. But some are just so egregious that it takes me right the fuck out :|

I'm already 30+ chapters in. It's too late to turn back now.

Celtic music? Maybe celtic - I don't know. Yeah, her music is pretty cool. I'm glad I've been seeing some people talking about her lately.

This is a great habit, actually, and I only regret the fact that I don't do it because my mind is much more video-oriented. So I think of fanvids but don't actually do them because for that I'd have to download the videos, I need a better computer etc. :(

Oh man. At the risk of sounding like "uphill, both ways, in the snow"... I remember when I used to try to do fanvids back around 2002 despite the fact it was, well, 2002, and my computer was horribly outdated even then. 8 hours downloading an episode of something overnight, and when I had edited the thing it took 3-4 hours to process a 3 minute video that was like 320x240 res. XD So I can relate to the reluctance there, especially since while technology has advanced a lot since those days, I think people expect flashier stuff nowadays because technology has advanced...

And yeah, I got into Kate Bush somewhere in like the late-90s I think? Someone in pointed me to the lyrics to "Army Dreamers" in an FF7 discussion, and I wound up buying albums. She's one of those artists I would find it hard to classify because her songs go beyond the sound - the music sounds right for the lyrics, and it may not always fit into a genre. ...I don't even really know how to adequately phrase what I mean, as I am nowhere near as proficient with language as she is, hahah.

I just like the idea of them switching between monster and human. More versatility when doing the deed. Supernatural lover is also something I dig very much and said lover turning even in the middle of it and losing control is kinda hot.

There are way too many people who think their drive-by condescending comments are valuable critique that writers should be grateful for. Nah. For every halfway decent piece of critical feedback, there's hundreds of comments that are just mean-spirited, based on a way off-base misreading of the story, essentially boiling down to "why did you write this thing I don't like instead of what I wanted to read" or factual/grammatical corrections that are, in fact, wrong.

Really good constructive criticism is hard to do. I think it's a much rarer skill than just being able to write readable prose.

Same here. If I want to fuck a dragon, I just want a good hard fuck, no questions asked and no relationship stuff. (Got no probs with said dragon being sentient or intelligent in a dragonish way, but no relationship or romance. If I wanted relationship stuff I'd go for a centaur instead!
