And sometimes it's only one fic, but it's EPIC and then the rest of what's available is not good or, like, slice-of-life drabbles that do little to satisfy your craving for substantive fic and that's so annoying. Now you're shipping something that you know has the potential to have amazing fic and no one is writing it.

Honestly anon, I see your viewpoint. The Brett show is fantastic but in this world where everything constantly gets re-adapted, I think we're probably overdue a similar show for Holmes. Instead it just feels like only Hound of the Baskervilles and The Final Problem get a token isolated Victorian adaption every handful of years and it's pretty annoying because we all know how those ones go by now!

I get it, even if I adored the Brett-version. Also, there are a few stories that they didn't adapt, and some of the later seasons have some REALLY weird changes, even if Brett is fantastic throughout. So yes, I'd like a new faithful adaption as well.

Right? Don't get me wrong, I love Hound of the Baskervilles and the setting of the moors, but it gets more than enough attention when it comes to remakes. The Brett series is a favorite of mine, but I'd still like to see newer adaptations that are equally faithful to the canon.
