<3 <3 <3 A Pokemon forum was one of my early internet hangouts, back in the day of Red/Blue, and I still know people from those days and talk with them all the time on FB. It's their freaking fault I got into Pokemon Go, in fact, because I hadn't been paying attention to mobile games at all but then they were all like "you're gonna play this too, right?" and ... honestly the game is what's kept me functioning the last few years of my declining health. I owe that to my old Pokemon fandom friends selling me on it - and rather a lot of other things over the years. Wish I could do more than just send them gifts from weirdly named pokestops. =)

I was too old for pokemon first time around, but somehow have still managed to make good friends through pokemon go (who are even older than me!), so maybe it's just something about the franchise :)
