Re: What has disappointed you recently?

Oh, I am just full of disappointment after April but I'm going to take a nap and hope May will be better.

- I achieved exactly one of my goals last month from a rather long list of what needed to be done. Ugh.

- Walked into a hair salon to fix my split ends, walked out with twice as many.

- There were a bunch of protesters outside Costco... protesting that Costco requires face masks. It's... it's state mandated still, why were they mad at Costco?

- The continued lack of interaction on Pillowfort, even with the flood of people that returned when it reopened this week which is making me nervous about the platform's sustainability even though it is in fact an awesome platform now that certain issues have been fixed. There's a lot of great artists on the site, some that are pretty popular over on Twitter, but then you see their crossposted works on Pillowfort with only a few likes/faves, if any at all. If it continues, a lot of people are just going to leave again, thinking that the platform is dead. Hopefully it'll get better when they permanently open free registration to the public.

Thanks for listening, FS. Sigh.

I remember everyone running to Pillowfort when Tumblr drove off a third of their user base. I haven't heard anything about it since then. What are its strengths? Aside from not being tumblr.

AYART
It's biggest strengths are an awesome tagging and blocking system (filters/blacklisting/easy on and off toggling NSFW) as well as large full views of posted images (as opposed to say, Twitter's cropped ones). There are also a lot of communities/forums where you can reblog and share your own content to or just check out a bunch of other people's neat stuff. The site has a simply and clean layout with a posting system similar to Tumblr's.

Oh, and also it has Dreamwidth-y features too with posting such as HTML editing and the ability to restrict who can and cannot see certain posts, be it everyone, just your followers, just yourself, et cetera. If Pillowfort had to be described in just a few words, it's pretty much Tumblr meets Dreamwidth.

I'm very scatter brained today - I can't believe I forgot one of it's best features: the fact that you can mass freeze and delete reblogs.

Heh, it's a pretty nifty site and I hope it becomes more popular in the future.

I'm trying to get in the habit of punctuating negative thoughts with positive so, uh, I did treat myself with cheesecake and freshly baked bread today though! They were yummy!

The anti-maskers are mad at Costco because there are rocks that are more intelligent than your average anti-masker.
