I know some extremely wealthy Americans with cats and none of them have declawed any of them. Where did you get this idea rich Americans do that?

American celebrities are more likely to go full-on PETA and anti-animal cruelty in fear of getting canceled.

I more so see declawing as something middle class people would do. A cat tearing up a couch would matter more to people who make $65,000 a year than a rich person who could just buy a new one.

This. Cat shreds your couch - if you're rich, no big deal, you just replace it. If you're middle-class or poor, big deal.
