About Time. Supposed to be a cutesy romcom about a man who can time travel and uses it to get the love of his life, but I found the main character absolutely repugnant. He was a callous manipulator at best; a sociopathic rapist at worst. Also I've grown to really hate the completely unrelatable casual 'rich-person' narrative in Richard Curtis films. Everyone lives in these huge home counties estates or in a giant London townhouse and no-one seems to actually have a job and there's always a 'quirky' free spirited wilting flower of a girl (in this case, the main character's sister) who gets into a terrible situation and we're supposed to feel so sorry for the world breaking her but actually she's just an irresponsible idiot who has no clue about the real world like everyone else in Richard Curtis' head.

Wow I had no idea I hated Richard Curtis films this much lol
